While OSHA does not require most written compliance programs to be reviewed and updated annually, they must be kept current with your workplace and operations. Construction contractors many times have the added burden of complying with industrial standards, such as ISNet or PICS, in order to be eligible to win and maintain large contracts. CCOIH can help with both situations. We have tremendous experience in authoring and updating OSHA compliance plans of all kinds continuously for almost 40 years.
The most common written OSHA compliance programs include:
Work Safety Procedures
OSHA under 29 CFR 1910.120 may require a site-specific Health & Safety Plan, or HASP, whenever any government recognized site undergoes remediation of soil and/or groundwater contaminants. However, many private companies and property owners now require a HASP simply for working at their properties when chemical contamination is present regardless of the purpose of the work (e.g., utility installation). OSHA HASP requirements are extensive and detailed.
CCOIH has over 30 years of direct on-site work experience with cleanup operations at several large Superfund (and other) Hazardous Waste Sites. Our plans have been reviewed and approved for many years by government officials and safety organizations alike, but continue to be updated by experienced professionals as new regulations (e.g., Silica) take effect. Reduce the time to start a job and demonstrate expertise to your client using our HASPs.
The biggest challenge in developing a HASP is determining realistic and practical PPE requirements and Air Monitoring Action Levels. CCOIH is the only IH consultant in the area to utilize a Worst Case Exposure Analyses of soil and groundwater contaminants to help set dust/non-volatile and volatile contaminant Action Levels and respiratory protection requirements.
Our proprietary computerized reports were developed in accordance with longstanding American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) guidance regarding air monitoring at hazardous waste sites. Our WC analyses have been proven over many years. Not only can Worst Case Analyses help establish Action Levels they can also -
No HASP should ever be written without first doing these analyses.
